Add a night in Wadi Rum
Wadi Rum is worth two days in many respects, and you can add a night here to do a full-day jeep drive, or possibly include some light trekking.
This comprehensive privately-chauffered Grand Tour of Jordan takes you from tip-to-toe. If you are only planning on visiting Jordan once, then we suggest you give this magical destination two weeks to reveal its secrets. In addition to the main highlights on a tour of Jordan, you will explore the relatively little-visited sights. While in Amman, see the interest Desert Castles to the east of Amman as well as the iconic Ajloun Fort.
Head south along the King’s Highway seeing Madaba, Mt Nebo towards Dana Nature Reserve. You then spend two nights in this off-the-beaten-track corner of Jordan. The following day, walk to Feynan Eco Lodge, and you can meet local bedouins along the way for a cup of tea.
You then turn north to spend a night in the dramatic setting of the Wadi Rum desert – famous as a base for Lawrence of Arabia. You will head out on a jeep-safari, and we can also include a camel or balloon flight should you so wish.
The next stop is the red-rose city of Petra, where you will have three nights and two full days exploring all of its secrets. Spend your first day in Petra exploring the Siq, the Treasury, and onto the Monastery. The second day explores some of hidden Petra, the Place of High Sacrifice, and the Wadi Farasa trail.
Finally, end your Grand Tour of Jordan on the banks of the Dead Sea for three full days of R&R. Here you can opt for more cultural excursions to nearby Bethany-on-the-Jordan and Lot’s Cave.
We arrange totally bespoke trips and design an itinerary that is designed around you. You may have seen a suggested itinerary that we can base your plans around, or we can start with a blank sheet and paper and design something from scratch. You can leave a phone number and suggest a time to call you back, and we can also arrange to do this during the evenings or at weekends if you are busy during the daytime. We can also meet up with you in you fancy a coffee and are based in and around London.
