Aqaba is Jordan’s premier beach resort, located in southern Jordan on the Red Sea. Aqaba is ideal for a final few nights on the beach, and unlike the Dead Sea is preferable if you like water-sports, diving, or snorkeling. The slight downside is that it is also Jordan’s main container port, so you often see the odd container ship passing. The beaches aren’t quite as amazing as you find in Oman or Egypt. Needless to say, the hotels are superb, and it makes for a very relaxing few days of winter-sun beside the beach.
