I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and your team for organising a wonderful holiday for us. Everything was spot on and we have had a fabulous time. Hoping to plan a return trip to the region and see more of Nepal some time! Thanks once again,
Testimonials & Millis Potter Reviews
We got back on Thursday night, and had the most fabulous holiday. All the hotels we stayed in were absolutely wonderful – Purity and the Aanavilasam Plantation House were just shear luxury closely follwed by the Marari Beach Resort and The Old Habour in Fort Kochi. We really enjoyed the Lakes & Lagoon Houseboat and had a terrific thunderstorm which made the trip really interesting and the Talayer Tea Plantation was a real experience and the food we were cooked there was really good. Adrian and our driver Shaiju were very attentive and incredibly helpful throughout our holiday. All the guides provided by them were great. We will definitely be returning to India for our next holiday!
We wanted to spend a few minutes of our time to write and email to you and your extended team in the UK and Bhutan. We have tremendously enjoyed our 8 nights here and the highlight “wow” hotel was the very kind upgrade you gave us to the Gangtey lodge. This was an amazing experience!!!The team you have in situe with Rishi, Legden and Doedgey are extremely efficient and professional. The background work for our trip and the special surprises were very well timed and executed. And indeed add the extra difference to our wonderful visit.A few words on Legden, our guide, as we not only found him to be polite, punctual and professional but instilled with a national pride and courtesy that we do not find very often in the modern world. 10 out of 10!We close this short email with a final word of gratitude for our unforgettable experience and the holidays of our dreams which you made happen for us.Thank you so much.
Safely back after a really fantastic trip. All your arrangements worked really well. Dollar, the driver, was specially wonderful and the hotels in Jaipur, Shahpura and Udaipur were brilliant; in each one the owner/manager took a real and oft repeated interest in our welfare which we really appreciated. We enjoyed our special dinner at the Dhikhola Fort.
I was a little wary of booking a small tour operator but my worries were soon put to rest. Marcus compiled the most fantastic trip for us in Sri Lanka tweaking things and listening carefully to our wants and must haves! The boutique hotels that he has access to are amazing and of the highest quality. The guides he uses take you to places you would never hear about or be able to access for yourself. For the 2nd part of the trip Marcus booked the amazing Lux resort in The Maldives and I mean amazing. I had a clear vision of what I expected from The Maldives and Lux not only met it but far surpassed it.Our trip to Sri Lanka and The Maldives for my 50th year was fabulous and I cannot thank Marcus enough for all the time and effort that was put in to making it such a truly wonderful memory!”
Got back safely yesterday from our tour so ably organised by you. Every meet, greet and transfer went like clockwork and was handled perfectly. The Oberoi was a welcome and comfortable break on both occasions and the Rajbari was magical. Our Calcutta guide was superb and her day with us was a high point.Overall we enjoyed the Hoogly cruise more than the Bramaputra. This was mainly because of our preconceived ideas about the Bramaputra landscape and nothing to do with the excursions or boat crew. So, thank you Marcus for arranging such a memorable holiday for us.
So, we’re back and I’d like to thank you so much for organising a really brilliant trip which worked like clockwork. Loved the Andamans, so like Thailand 30 years ago and also loved Pondicherry and Chennai all for different reasons. What was wonderful was that all five hotels were fantastic and all totally different. Thank you so very much and, oh yes, I also must mention that everyone in India, especially Ramesh, our driver, couldn’t have been more helpful and kind.
Just returned from a trip to South West India arranged by Marcus at Millis Potter. The four of us were met off the plane in Bangalore by his rep and were then introduced to Hareesh who was to be our driver for the next two weeks. We drove southwards with stops in Mysore, Coonoor, Munar, Cochi, Allepey, and Kovalam. Hareesh was just such a nice genuine person, safe driver, and our unofficial advisor for anything we wanted to know or do. He even stopped by his local temple while we were in Allepey as he knew we would be interested to see the elephants taking part in the festival that was on.Millis Potter’s rep in Kerala, Adrian, called us whenever we moved to a new location to check everything was OK. The one thing that did not go well was a hotel we had requested ourselves however we were moved within 30 minutes at no extra cost. Superb service. The holiday seemed to last much longer than our 2 weeks and exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back. Thanks Marcus Hareesh and Adrian for making this a holiday we will not forget.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, we would recommend it to anyone, our driver, greeting guide and tour guides were all terrific. The boat trip on the back waters was a real highlight. We will certainly return if possible and travel further south.
We have just returned from a trip to India so thoughtfully designed and created by Marcus Potter. He exposed us to the most magnificent and memorable sights, sounds, and smells of his “hidden” India. He truly does have so many secret places to share. We are already planning our next adventure with him.
Ahilya Fort was indeed one of the highlights, and for all of us, Amritsar will definitely be on our “best of” trip that we are planning to do next. What an incredible place and the dedication of the Sikhs to one another is something to behold.
