Diving in Aqaba

Aqaba is located on the Red Sea and like the resorts on the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt, there is superb diving or snorkelling to be found. There are a series of superb wreck diving opportunities in the area. There are a number of fully-trained PADI instructors and the equipment available to hire is of an international standard. There are shallow coral gardens and pinnacles and deep canyons to explore. The visibility is usually superb, with minimal currents and the diving is available all year-round. Expect to see Eagle Rays, Sting rays, Hawksbill turtles, whale sharks, nudibranchs, pipefish and frogfish. The best dive sites are to be found about an hour’s boat ride from the marina, and the furthest about two hours boat ride away.
