The Story

Best time to go: Mid-September to April
Best for: Slow Travel, First Time Visitor

There are few better destinations than Nepal for cleansing both body and soul; and we promise you will return back glowing! You’ll start with an immersive experience in Kathmandu, meeting with Buddhist monks and Hindu priests, gaining an understanding of the spiritual side to Nepal.  You will also see the hidden side to this wonderful city with a private guide, such as exploring the dramatic pagoda-style Durbar Squares, to the bustling spice and vegetable markets. You then work on the ‘body’, with a four-day trek beside the snow-capped Himalayan peaks in the Annapurna Range. You stay in exceptionally comfortable trekking lodges, and the trekking takes about four to five hours a day (although for those who really want to give their body a good workout, you can set off each afternoon for a further walk). You are walking under some of the highest snow-capped peaks in the world, through rural farms and villages. Return to the Kathmandu and head to Dhulikhel, located on the ridge of the Kathmandu Valley, with views looking out at the high-Himalayan peaks in the distance. You’ll spend five nights at Dwarika’s Dhulikhel, a luxury spa retreat, where you will enjoy the revitalisation package. You can enjoy daily yoga and meditation, tuck into spa cuisine, and have a range of spa treatments, including a sessions of Vasti and Shirodhara. Our favourite inclusion is the Himalayan Singing Bowl therapy! Needless to say, you will slowly restore your soul and your legs would have had a good work-out, and return home with a totally cleansed in both body and soul!

    Customise Your Itinerary

We can tweak and change any element of this itinerary and you can depart on any day you want, add nights here and there, and we can fully customise your day-to-day experiences depending on your interests. Here are just a few ideas of many that we can look at and discuss when we come to plan your tailor-made itinerary.

    Idea 1

You might want to include a stay in Pokhara after your trek and before travelling back to Kathmandu. We suggest the superb Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge, with views looking back over the Annapurna Range.

    Idea 2

If you feel you would like even more relaxation, why not opt for Oman Air and stop back in the Chedi on your return?

    Idea 3

If you really want a 'wow' experience, you could take a flight, or even a private helicopter experience around Everest. If you opt for the helicopter, we can take you to Tengboche Monastery for morning prayers, overfly Base Camp and then fly back down the Gokyo Valley. The views are as you would expect, utterly stunning.

    Idea 4

We can easily combine this itinerary with a visit to Northern India, Tibet or Bhutan. Whatever you have in mind, we can probably help!
