Sanctuary Lodge is located just a one hour flat walk from the road-head ay Nayapul, although many guests walk in from Lumle which takes around three hours and is a more interesting hike.
The lodge is at an altitude of 3600 feet / 1098m and the views up the Modi Khola Valley towards the higher mountains of the Annapurna Range are spectacular. The gardens are wonderfully tended. The lodge features 18 twin-bedded rooms. They come with en-suite bathrooms featuring hot showers (powered by solar power). Within the rooms they provide down jackets, hats and gloves as well as adding a toasty hot water bottle to your bed every night. Guests generally meet for happy hour each evening, sharing a G&T or Everest beer around the central fire before sitting down to dinner and sharing trekking stories.
