Immersive Tour of Udaipur

You’ll begin by taking a private boat out on Lake Pichola, seeing the various points of interest and getting a feel for the city.  You’ll stop at Jagmandir Island, which dates from the 17th century and still retains  fantastic architecture. The other island is Jagniwas and is home to the Lake Palace Hotel (famous for the film Octopussy). You will disembark at Gongaur Ghat, and if you are interested in Indian art, stop at the Bagore-ki-Haveli. You’ll walk to the City Palace which has amazing views back over the lake from its upper terraces. You’ll walk through the various rooms with your guide, staying for as long as your interest demands. You’ll then walk into the city, stopping at the 17th century Jagdish Temple. You’ll then have time to see the bazaars and markets of Udaipur, starting with Mochiwara, the shoe bazaar before entering the vegetable market. The ladies sell their wares from tradtional bamboo baskets, and you can also see the wholesale grain market and spice sellers.
