The Detail
The Acamar underwent a total renovation in 2018 and provides an affordable, yet entirely comfortable cruise experience. You can opt for a four-night cruise from Luxor to Aswan, departing on a Monday, or a three-night cruise from Aswan to Luxor departing on a Friday.
Cabins are carefully designed, with nice wooden floors and large windows overlooking the Nile. Each cabin is air-conditioned, with an en-suite bathroom containing a bathtub and shower. Other inclusions are a safe, mini bar and TVs. Rooms are split between standard cabins (21sqm), Presidential Suite (27sqm) and Royal Suite (42sqm).
The Lyra Bar has wide panoramic windows and comfortable seating – an ideal place to relax after a day seeing the sights along the Nile. The Acamar Lounge is ideal for a cup of coffee. The main restaurant serves a range of dishes of all styles. The sundeck is large and expansive, with an outdoor pool and loungers – some under canopies to avoid the heat of the Egyptian sun. In the warmer months, they serve BBQ dinners here, and during the colder months, this is offered at lunch. There is a small fitness room and a spa featuring a sauna.
