Thursday Qawwalis at Nizamuddin Dargah
The Nizamuddin area of Delhi is named after the 14th century Sufi saint, Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, and on Thursday evenings, you can sit down to listen to the mesmerising Qawwali performance. You’ll begin by taking a short walk around the area with your guide, starting at Chaunsath Khamba and working your way through the bazaars to the Nizamuddin Dargah. For those with an interest, we can stop at the Ghalid Academy, a museum dedicated to the great Urdu poet. You can also stop at the Dargah of the 20th century Sufi musician, Hazrat Inayat Khan, now a social centre teaching music.
