All bungalows have stunning views, some lakeside and some panoramic of the majestic tea hills and the cycling and walking trails between the properties have been carefully chosen to take in the breathtaking scenery. Throughout there are well kept lawns where you can play croquet or enjoy a cup of locally grown tea before taking a dip in the refreshing pool and being served an evening cocktail by your butler. In the cooler months sit by the roaring log fire reading a book and be served delicious classic dishes by the chef before retiring to your sumptuous suite.
Millis Potter Insight
Ceylon Tea Trails is for those wanting to spare no expense to enjoy the ultimate colonial plantation experience. The hill country setting of all the bungalows is second to none and although all this luxury and comfort does not come cheap, all meals, drinks and most activities are included in the rate. There are lots of fun experiences for kids as well as adults, including swimming in the lakes, exploring the nature trails and there is even a ‘Junior Tea Experience’ to involve the children in the history of where they are staying. Tea Trails is particularly good if you are wanting to have a multi destination stop in the hills as it is fun to take a cycle ride between properties with your guide whilst your luggage is transferred onwards for you. A stay here really is the epitome of luxury and helicopter tours or seaplane transfers can be arranged, plus it is very easy to combine with its sister Cape Weligama down on the coast to continue your luxurious stay.
