The Detail

Rooms

Fanning out from a vast central water feature (or irrigation pool), Amanjena’s dramatic walled Pavilions and two-storey Maisons offer seclusion and privacy.  Inside you will find roaring log fires, huge beds and decadent bathrooms. There are 32 Pavilions and seven two-storey Mansions. Rooms lead in with the Pavilion, which overlooks the olive groves and golf course. Moreover, the bedrooms sit under Venetian-style stucco domes. Up from that, you can opt for the ‘Pavilion Bassin’, which overlooks the central water feature, and have their courtyards. The Pavilion Piscine has a pool and a more extensive garden. The Maisons feature two bedrooms set over two floors. Finally, the Al-Hamra Mansion is vast, with a 36m private pool.

Dining

The dining at Amanjena is, in a word, exquisite. Many guests opt for private dining within their room. There are two main restaurants at Amanjena. Firstly, the Moroccan Restaurant in a serene courtyard. You can also order Italian cuisine by signature Aman restaurant, Arva. Secondly, Nama overlooks the swimming pool. Here you can enjoy Japanese cuisine and incredibly excellent seafood brought in from the coast. Finally, the Pool Terrace is a perfect place to enjoy a long lunch. Additionally, the Bar is the ideal place for a pre-dinner cocktail.

Facilities

Amanjena’s spa is undeniably one of the best in Morocco. Here you can enjoy a wide range of treatments and even full-day retreats. There are four private treatment rooms and two Moroccan-style Hammans. Additionally, you will find a fully-equipped fitness centre and two tennis courts. Finally, there is an excellent range of yoga sessions on offer.

Without a doubt, Amenjena appeals to many potential guests. All in all, it’s all about space and privacy here. The rooms are comparatively vast, many with their own pool. You can spend a week here or longer. Although this may be true, the rooms are of a minimalist style which doesn’t always appeal to all guests.

Equally important is that the resort tends to be really quiet. In other words, most guests keep to the seclusion of their Pavilion or Maison. That said, this means it very much lives up to its name ‘Peaceful Paradise’. Therefore, if you like the style of Aman hotels, you will love Amanjena. Specifically, the ability to return from the bustle of the souks to this peacefulness is something we can definitely recommend!
