Paro Cultural Walk
The Paro Cultural Walk is a perfect way to see the Paro Dzong, Ta Dzong (National Museum), the town, Kyichu Lhakhang and Drukgyel Dzong. Begin by walking to Ta Dzong, Bhutan’s National Museum before heading to Paro, or Rinpung Dzong. Cross the traditional bridge over the Paro Chhu River and past the main archery crowd, where you might well see a game in full flow.
You then are met by a car and driven to Kyichu Lhakhang which is one of the most historic temples in Bhutan with a magical orange tree that bears fruit all year round. If you have time, you can head onto the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, again walking through local villages and farmland to reach it. The walk takes about 5-7 hours and is not that strenuous. If you want to do this all in a vehicle without walking, this can easily be arranged.
