Luxury Private Tour of Bhutan with Aman Hotels
Kathmandu - Thimphu - Punakha - ParoThe luxury Amakora lodges offer a unique and exclusive experience designed to showcase Bhutan in the best way possible.
Amankora Paro was the first Aman resort to open in Bhutan and is located about 30 minutes from the centre of Paro, and close to the Tigers Nest Monastery and Drukgyel Dzong. There are 24 rooms located within six rammed-earth buildings. Opt for either an upstairs or downstairs suite, all featuring wood-panelled stylish interiors completed with a bukhari (wood-burning stove). The suites are vast, all featuring king-size beds (no twin beds) and a free standing Terrazzo-clad bathtub and separate shower. There is a delightful banquette window seat from where you can pull out a book and look out over the views. The style of the suites is similar in each Amankora lodge, so this ensures a consistency when on a tour through Bhutan.
Move to the main lodge, the dining room opens out onto a large flagstone terrace and wooden deck that overlooks the stream that runs through the surrounding forest, great for a quick drink before dinner. The lounge area has wonderful views from its floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the nearby Dzong and downstairs you find the dining room complete with long convivial communal tables (private dining is also possible). Opt for either the local Bhutanese menu or international dishes. When staying in any Amankora hotel, all meals and alcoholic drinks are included in the price of the room.
We arrange totally bespoke trips and design an itinerary that is designed around you. You may have seen a suggested itinerary that we can base your plans around, or we can start with a blank sheet and paper and design something from scratch. You can leave a phone number and suggest a time to call you back, and we can also arrange to do this during the evenings or at weekends if you are busy during the daytime. We can also meet up with you in you fancy a coffee and are based in and around London.
