Temple Tree is located in Gaurighat and is within easy walking distance of Phewa Lake and the many shops and restaurants that open out onto the lake. Temple Tree is a perfect place to stay at either before or after you trek in the Annapurna Range, or if you just want a base close to the mountains if you are not trekking.
The rooms are located in double storey cottages surrounding a central courtyard containing an inviting swimming pool, and have either a terrace or balcony and some with partial views over the mountains beyond. The rooms are comfortably designed, all with en-suite facilities, air-conditioning and TVs. Opt for the slightly larger apartments or suite for for space.
There are two restaurants, a bar and a superb spa offering a wide range of treatments (do try the 2 hour trekkers massage to sort out post-trekking related stiffness!).
Opt for either a lower or higher floor room where you might well have partial views of the mountains, but sadly not guaranteed. All rooms are slightly different, some with or without bathtubs and/or showers. The rooms are nicely designed, with terracotta flooring merging with orange and yellow walls, often rough-hewn in design. The rooms also have TVs and tea/coffee making facilities.
There are two restaurants; Bay Leaf is the all-day dining option and serves delightful breakfasts. Upstairs you find the Tree House which is a more informal space ideal for looking out at the views. The Island Bar is located by the swimming pool. The spa has a range of Asian treatments on offer.
