The Sanctum Inle Lake is among the new breed of hotels to open in Burma, offering truly international standards of comfort and service. The resort’s design drew on european monastic influences, resulting arched walkways and choisters, all white-washed to give a sense of minimalism and style. The main building contains many of the rooms, the restaurants and bar which all open out onto a deck overlooking the lake. Behind the main building there is what is called the Cluster, housing many of the standing Cloister Classic Rooms. The free-standing Provost Junior Suites are located overlooking the lake and ideal if you are wanting to have a family holiday to Burma with two-bedroom options for the children, complete with private terrace overlooking the lake.
The rooms are stylish, featuring dark teak floorboards and high ceilings featuring exposed wooden beams overhead. All the mod-cons are naturally included. Bathrooms are large, and feature double vanity washbasins and separate bathtub and shower.
The Refectory is the main restaurant drawing on Burmese and Western influences, heavily drawing on local produce. Sanctum Inle Resort also has a spa offering a range of treatments.
