Located in the heart of the old city of Jaipur, Samode Haveli was the townhouse for the royal family of Samode (their sister property and palace is located about 45 minutes from Jaipur). Expect to find vibrant frescoes, little alcoves and elaborately decorated dining areas.
The rooms are richly docorated, complete with antiques and colourful fabrics. They have brought the rooms up to date with TVs, modern bathrooms and mini-bars. Opt for the Deluxe Rooms which look internally over the courtyard, or the larger Deluxe Suites some of which have bathtubs. The Haveli Suites are more private, with their own garden terraces. The Sheesh Mahal Suites are the most Rajput of all rooms, coated with mirrors. The dining room is pretty eclectic, with frescoes and chandeliers. You can opt for a less formal affair just sitting in the courtyard al fresco. There is a delightfully large swimming pool and also small spa.
