The Kempinski Ishtar has 318 rooms and suites set over two area: the main hotel building and the Ishtar Villas that are set within the lagoons, waterfalls and swimming pools that flow down to the Dead Sea beyond. All rooms and suites benefit from glorious Dead Sea views, with either patios or balconies. Rooms are furnished to a superb level, with WiFi, large TVs, minibars, and offering both bathtubs and walk-in rain showers. There are a range of suites of all shapes and sizes in both the main building and in the Ishtar section.
There are six restaurants and bars at the Kempinski Ishtar. Obelisk is the main all-day dining restaurant. Ashur Pizza & Grill is located beside the infinity pool and serves Italian fare. Akkad Pool and Grill serves light meals and drinks. Isin Lobby Bar, Kish Bar and the Sumerian Terrace make up the establishments to get a drink, or light snacks. The Sumerian Terrace is a particularly good place to watch the dramatic sunset.
The keystone of the Kempinski Ishtar is the Resense Spa. It is the largest spa in the Middle East at 10,000 square metres. The spa has 20 treatment rooms, six outdoor individual treatment and relaxation areas, hydro-facilities with a steam room, sauna, and whirlpool, Tepidarium heated lounges, the Dead Sea pool and the largest hydro-pool in the Dead Sea.
There are nine fresh-water swimming pools including children’s pools. There is also a gym and a private beach area to enjoy the ultra-violet filtered sunshine of the Dead Sea.
