Alila Jabal Akhdar

Alila Jabal Akhdar overlooks a dramatic gorge in Oman’s beautiful Al Hajar mountain range and is the ideal place to both explore the dramatic landscapes, quaint stone-built villages, and a multitude of scenic walking trails. The architecture blends in perfectly with the natural surrounding, using a minimalist style to retain an eco-friendly outlook. The hotel is at 2,000 metres above sea level, so expect it to be a little chilly in the winter months, but it makes for ideal walking temperatures in the early autumn and late spring too. 

There are 78 suites at the Alila Jabal Akhdar, along with six Loft suites and two Jabal Villas. Rooms are kitted out with all the mod-cons such as widescreen TVs and WiFi. Bathrooms feature a rain shower and separate bath – perfect to have a soak after a day of walking. The Mountain, Horizon, and Ridge View Suites are all the same at a generous 52 sqm, but the views get better as you go up the categories. The Jabal Terrace and Loft Suites offer double the space, and the Jabal Villas come with their own private pool and a palatial 361sqm. 

The Juniper Restaurant serves both local and international dare, and the Rose Lounge serves lights meals and acts as the bar. There is a stunning outdoor infinity pool, as well as a heated indoor pool. There is also a gym and Alila Spa.
