Head to the ghats at dawn for a boat trip on the river Ganges. The river flows directly east to west, and so the sun generally rises along the river to the east. You’ll then disembark and set out on a walking tour through the alleyways and narrow lanes of Varanasi. This isn’t for the faint-hearted, but with a private guide, you will carefully led through the streets, stopping at ancient temples and hidden markets.
