The Shangri-La Al Jissah is sandwiched between the craggy, rugged mountains and the azure waters of the Indian Ocean. Al Bandar has larger rooms than Al Waha and is situated further away from the children’s facilities.
Al Bandar is about 40-50 minutes from the international airport, making it a perfect fly-and-flop beach hotel, or as a starting or endpoint of an adventure through Oman. The rooms are contemporary in style, with good Moroccan style en-suite bathrooms with both bathtubs and showers. They have sea-facing views, with either balconies or terraces. There are some 15 restaurants and bars to choose from, and you can make use of those in the neighbouring Al Waha Hotel. The hotel enjoys easy access to the beach as well as the Piazza centre, Heritage village, and all other facilities.
