The Oberoi New Delhi was built in the 1960s, and whilst the exterior is nothing to send a postcard home about, but the interiors certainly are. Sleek glamour is the theme. You will find a grandiose marble lobby, counteracted with Indian antiques and contemporary artwork.
There are 220 rooms at The Oberoi New Delhi, with 34 suites, and all have large picture windows with superb views. The Oberoi lies in New Delhi, an area that was built with greenery and space aplenty. You won’t really feel like you are staying in the heart of a bustling Indian city. The rooms all have the mod cons; from iPhone docking stations to massive TVs, Nespresso machines and marble bathrooms. These even contain a TV to watch whilst you are in the bath.
There are three restaurants at The Oberoi New Delhi, where Delhi’s glitterati generally is out to impress. The main restaurant is threesixtyº, serving up international cuisine. There are two specialty restaurants; Omya which offers superb Indian fare, and Bashuan offering Chinese food. There’s a rooftop bar which is open until 4am in case you are thirsty.
It goes without saying that the facilities at the Oberoi New Delhi are second-to-none. You will find an outdoor swimming pool, a superb spa and a fitness centre.
