Bastanta Lodge overlooks the dramatic Phedi and Mardi Valleys and is about a five hour walk from either Mala or Gurung Lodge in Majghgaon and a short but steep downhill walk to the roadhead at Phedi. If you are considering starting your trek at Dhampus then there is a slightly easier lung-busting way of getting to Dhampus! There is just eight rooms at Basanta Lodge set within pretty gardens. At just 4,920 feet / 1,500 metres, Dhampus has a lovely climate and is a perfect place to end your trek with just an easy downhill walk the following day to the road where your driver will be waiting for you.
