Cultural Triangle

Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle is located in the north of Sri Lanka and is home to an abundance of ancient cities and sites that will make any casual visitor pretty awe-struck about the stories that make up the colourful history of Sri Lanka. The ancient cities of Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and the rock-fotress of Sigiriya are a delight just to wander around, and depending on your interest we can tailor your itinerary accordingly. You’ll see ancient monasteries, imposing Buddhist stupas and temples and former royal palaces. A climb up Sigriya is well worth the effort, for the amazing views you see at the top. The Buddhist caves at Dambulla are another superb attraction. Close to all of these is the Minneriya National Park, famous for the Elephant Gathering which takes place in August and September.
