There are 175 rooms at the Sofitel Essaouira Mogador, and all have terraces or balconies, maximising the views. All rooms are vibrantly decorated, featuring large TVs, WiFi, minibars and bathrooms with bathtubs and showers. The Superior Rooms have terraces opening out onto the gardens. However, for better views, opt for the Luxury Rooms with views from a balcony or Ocean (Premium Rooms). There are also a series of suites and villas, which are ideal if you travel as a family. Furthermore, they have private pools.
There are many facilities including two swimming pools, a spa, hammam and a gym. Equally important, the adjacent golf course is superb. There are four restaurants to choose from. Firstly, L’Atlantique is located beside the pool and specialises in seafood. Secondly, L’Ateliers Aux Arômes serves fusion French and Moroccan cuisine. Thirdly, Le Club House is located in the clubhouse of the golf course. Finally, Le Cafe Kasbah is the main all-day dining restaurant with an open kitchen.

We tend to usually send families to the Sofitel Essaouira Mogador. However, if you want a hotel that is brimming with facilities, pools and a wide range of cuisine on offer, then this is an ideal choice. This is especially true if you have been on a long tour of Morocco, and stayed in a number of boutique hotels with small pools and only tagine on offer!
By and large, the Sofitel Essaouira Mogador will give you a perfect final slice of R&R. Furthermore, they also have a shuttle into Essaouira if you want to see a bit more of the local culture in Morocco. Finally, the two-bedroom villas are ideal for families. Equally important is that your children will be craving pool time, a chance to head to the beach and probably some non-Moroccan food!
