There are just three guest rooms and a living room at La Maison Des Arganiers. There much rough-hewn stone in the design of the house, certainly giving it an authentic feel. Much of the brickwork is exposed, creating a rustic yet elegant style. The house is a former ‘douar’, or a place where you kept goats. La Maison Des Arganiers is usually the first stop on Dar Ahlam’s Memory Road (also known as the La Route De Sud). Most important, however, is that you will be the only guests here. Furthermore, you can have up to six guests at your party.
La Maison Des Arganiers has many outdoor terraces and spellbinding views over the Argan Valley. They generally set up your evening meal outside, surrounded by lanterns. The food here is charming, only using locally sourced and grown ingredients.
The rooms are lovely, with luxury king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms with showers. The bedroom doors are large and authentic, with large brass handles for added effect. Also, the living room has a lovely stone fireplace.
In short, this is a great first stop on your ‘Memory Road’ journey in Morocco.
