You can venture out on a horse-riding experience in Rajasthan for just an afternoon, or many days, depending on how much you want to do. The famous Marwari horses are superb, and come from the Jodhpur region of Rajasthan. There is an excellent stable at Rohetgarh, and sister property, Mihir Garh. They descend from Arabian horses and native Indian ponies and we bred for their loyalty and war-fighting abilities, and generally range from 15 to 16 hands, with characteristic ‘pointy’ ears, turning inwards. You should be a competent rider, as Marwari’s can have a tenacious character. They are excellent if you want to amble through the surrounding Rajasthani countryside.
