Experiences around Amanbagh

The area around Amanbagh is packed with things to see and do, and as it is the only hotel in the area, you probably won’t see others tourists, making it such an incredible overall experience. We suggest starting with the cow-dust tour that takes you around the local village as the farmers return from the fields after a day toiling on their crops. See brightly sari-clad ladies and men with colourful turbans leading their bullock carts in after a long day. You can do as much or as little as you want at Amanbagh, but there are a few superb day trips you can do. The 17th century deserted remnants of Bhangarh is certainly worth a visit, almost perfectly preserved from the day it was abandonded. Walk to the fort and old temple of Ajabgarh, dating from 1635 and offering superb views over the Rajasthani countryside and Jai Sagar Lake. Longer day trips can be done to Sariskar National Park and the city of Jaipur (if you aren’t including it on your tour to India), and even to Agra to see the Taj Mahal.
