Travel has always been in Giles’ blood. He grew up in Jamaica and Zambia, spent 10 years exploring some of the world’s wildest places as a geophysical engineer, such as Sarawak, Papua New Guinea, Brunei, Pakistan, Nigeria, Egypt and Burma. Giles then ran Norman Carr Safaris for a time, running his own walking safari company in South and North Luangwa National Park, Bangweulu and Kasanka regions of Zambia. Giles then moved back to London to settle down, and co-founded Scott Dunn, one of the most successful luxury specialist tour operators in UK. He now helps small up-and-coming tour operators such as Millis Potter and Timbuktu Travel. His interests include photography, flying and Paragliding/Paramotoring.
