The Sandoway Resort is set within verdant tropical gardens overlooking the Bay of Bengal. We wouldn’t say Sandoway is the most luxurious beach hotel in Asia, but it has a delightful laid back charm that makes for a wonderful place to end a tour of Burma. Sandoway was the original hotel in Ngapali, and over time it has continually upped its game in terms of room quality.
The lead in category are Deluxe Rooms, all set within the gardens and don’t have sea views. We suggest looking at the double storey Beach Front Cottages, which offer amazing sea views. The interiors are richly decorated with teak-lined walls and local furnishings. If you really want the best, then the villas are divine. Opt for either the Beach Front Villas that literally open out onto the beach, or the second row Sea View Villas (although the sea views can be obstructed by vegetation). There is a delightful main swimming pool, and the sea is also great for swimming. The restaurant and bar open out onto the sea and they offer a range of international and local cuisine. The Spa is also worth a visit.
