The Detail
This stunning property opened its doors in early 2016 and has already been highly acclaimed and featured on the Conde Nast Hot List. Loving restored by its owners, the Fort Bazaar is focused on style and design without compromising on quality and service which are outstanding. The 15 rooms are located around the courtyard, some coming with private balconies and interconnecting doors and all with cool and contemporary interiors whilst still reflecting the heritage of this historic building. The 3 suites are upstairs at the front of the property and are huge with high ceilings and private balconies overlooking the rooftops of the Fort and on to the Indian Ocean. Church Street Social offers not only delicious dining with middle eastern, Asian and western cuisine but one of the only places to dine or drink with A/C in the fort.. a bonus as it can get hot in Galle! Like its sister property the Wallawwa, the Fort Bazaar also has a Z Spa providing pampering treatments if you want to relax or the wonderful staff are on hand to recommend a selection of experiences ranging from whale watching to bike rides through the paddy fields and private guided tours of Galle Fort.
