Constance Moofushi is a smallish, picturesque island, with a wonderful house reef. It’s also only about a 45-minute seaplane journey from Male Airport in the beautiful Ari Atoll. You can opt for both over-water and beach villas.
Firstly, let’s start with the rooms. All the villas are thatched wooden bungalows, giving a sense of barefoot luxury. The over-water villas offer a large decking with steps down to the turquoise lagoon below. All the mod-cons are included from movies and music on demand to the latest Mac mini entertainment systems, WiFi, and an ample 66m². In addition, the larger Senior Water Villas can also accommodate an extra bed. All the beach villas lead directly onto the beach from their front terraces. Furthermore, you will find a sense of privacy with the surrounding palms and vegetation. Some of these can also be connected for families.
As Constance Moofushi is all-inclusive, all meals and drinks are included in the cost. The sand-floored Manta Restaurant provides buffet-style fare, featuring several live cooking stations. These include western and local cuisines. We love the overwater section of the restaurant, which features stunning views over the Indian Ocean. The relaxed à la carte Alizée beachfront grill is a laid-back second restaurant serving succulent fresh seafood and equally delicious grilled meat. Move to the infinity pool bar for a cocktail as the sun sets, or for a drink after dinner. During the day, enjoy fresh smoothies in Totem Bar. Without a doubt, the wine list isn’t that of your typical all-inclusive resort, as you get a really superb selection.
The over-water spa offers a host of treatments to help restore you to your former glory after all this eating and drinking. Also, the beachside swimming pool is ideal for those who want a change from snorkelling around the house reef.
Most importantly, the snorkelling around the house reef is one of Constance Moofushi’s biggest plus-points. Snorkelling equipment is, of course, included in the cost. Finally, you will find 32 of the Maldives best diving sites within 30 minutes of the resort.
Millis Potter Insight
Firstly, we love Moofushi. We actually saw it before it was built when we snorkelled around the island, and absolutely thought it was one of the best house reefs in the Maldives. It is definitely one of the best all-inclusive resorts in the Maldives. In addition, it is perfect for those who like a low-key barefoot-style resort.
