Millis Potter Insight
Cape Weligama is the perfect retreat for those looking for an exclusive hideaway set in a stunning clifftop location with the highest levels of service. Although ideal for couples, it is also very good for families as there are interconnecting rooms, a family friendly pool and a kids menu. The rooms are some of the largest and best fitted out in Sri Lanka, all with freestanding bath tubs and most with good views of the ocean. The location works well for those wanting to be on the south coast but away from the buzz of Galle and with alot more space than the villas and hotel around Thalpe. However, bear in mind that the hotel is on a headland and the beaches around here aren’t great for swimming, so it is much more of a pool property. Cape Weligama may be one of the most expensive hotels on the south coast but if you are looking for supreme service and fantastic facilities, it is worth every penny.
