It is also close to the Mukki Gate, which is by far the less visited areas of the park with most lodges located to the north, close to Kisli Gate. The camp is divided into two, with nine tents in each ensuring they both retain a quiet, luxurious atmosphere. The air-conditioned tents themselves are as good as you find in the best African lodges, complete with bamboo floors, hand-crafted furniture and textile and the most amazing of verandas overlooking the river the the park on the other bank. Indulgent en-suite bathrooms feature a freestanding roll-top bath and walk-in rain forest showers. The beds themselves look directly out at the river through large sliding glass doors, ensuring the tents of exceptionally light and airy. At the centre of the camp you find the living/dining area but dinners are often set up al fresco in the grounds surrounded by lanterns. Game drives take place in the early morning and late afternoon, and you can spend the day on your veranda, taking a dip in the pool or opting for a rewarding spa treatment.
