The ABN Rajmahal is 50 metres long, and has an extra shallow draught meaning it can reach further upstream than many other boats. With its sister ship, the ABN Sukapha, it cruises along the Hoogly and Ganges Rivers throughout the year, making it as far as Varanasi during the summer months. There would only ever be 36 guests on board, ensuring the shore experiences are still exceptionally personal.
All cabins have lovely French balconies and large sliding glass windows, and you’ll find two invitingly placed rattan armchairs from which to sit back and take in the views. The style has a touch of colonial elegance. There are twin/double cabins and also four single cabins. The rooms have individual climate controls, en suite bathrooms with showers and come with in-cabin safes, There is a comfortable saloon bar and a restaurant (all meals are included) serving both Indian and western dishes. The overall service is superb; expect to be welcomed back from shore excursions with a cold towel and a welcome drink and they even clean your shoes if they are muddy! There is a large sundeck on the top deck from where you can watch the world go by and a small spa.
