Wildlife Safaris in Bardia National Park
Bardia National Park is a little larger than Nepal’s other great national park, Chitwan and is home to 53 species of mammal and 407 species of birds. Opt for a variety of wildlife experiences including walking safaris, elephant safaris, rafting, jeep drives and boat safari. Bardia is famous for the one-horned rhino, with a population of about 29, and wild elephant with about 60 individuals. There is a growing population of tiger and leopard, but like Chitwan, they are rarely seen. Other than that you can see swamp deer, blackbuck, gharial crocodile and Gangetic dolphin. Notable birdlife seen are Bengal florican, lesser florican, silver eared Mesia and Saurus crane.
