Start at the Brihadeeshwarar temple complex, known for its superb murals and musical pillars before visiting the 16th century palaces of the Marathas and Nayaks which house a wonderful collection of Chola bronzes. You’ll be able to experience a little of the creation of these bronzes in a local workshop. Later, you will explore the local markets.
