A perfect day at Narlai goes like this: Rise early and head off into the Godwad countryside, famous for its large population of leopard. Return back to Narlai for a sumptuous breakfast before heading out on a village walk, seeing the traditional rural Indian way of life, continue into the hills for a picnic lunch and exploring the local area a little further. Stop on the nearby lake for tea, famous for its migratory birdlife. Back at the hotel you freshen up and head to the bar for a cocktail or two. The signature experience at Narlai is to experience their step-well dinner. You are taken by bullock cart at sunset and arrive at the step-well, illuminated by candlelight and where you sit down for superb local cuisine, being entertained by traditional folk musicians. These experiences can of course be tailored, or extended to cover two or more days if you have more time.
