The Kempinski Soma Bay is located away from the hustle and bustle of Hurghada, the popular winter-sun beach destination. It is 45km south of the airport in a beautiful peninsula, right on a 400-metre sandy beach. The area is popular for windsurfing and kitesurfing as well as excellent scuba diving and snorkelling. Right next door is a superb golf course as well as the Cascades Spa & Thalasso Centre, one of the largest spa complexes in the Middle East.
The hotel itself reflects Moorish architecture, and its low-rise structures perfectly blend into the gardens and landscape. There are four expansive outdoor pools at the centre of the hotel, complemented by a lazy river. We often say the Kempinski Soma Bay is absolutely perfect for children who have spent time exploring the tombs of the Valley of the Kings to launch themselves into some well-deserved pool time.
The rooms blend eastern style with a luxurious contemporary style. The rooms are all the same, yet differ in terms of the views (opt for a lagoon view, side-sea view, or sea view). All feature comfy seating areas, and balconies or terraces. The 22 Junior Suites have an open-plan living area, whilst the Deluxe Seaview Suites have separate living rooms.
There are four restaurants and bars at the Kempinski Soma Bay. The View is the main all-day restaurant, where breakfast is served and four live cooking stations for the evening. Al Mar serves al la carte lunch and is located by the pool. Bamboo Shoot is a speciality Asian restaurant. La Pergola served Mediterranean cuisine. There is also the Lobby Lounge, Beachcomber Bar, and Beach Pergola.
You can enjoy tennis, squash and golf. A PADI dive school is located close by. kite-surfing and windsurfing are also available.
