The Detail

The Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh has Moorish architecture – reflecting north African style and design. The hotel is located on a hillside, gradually descending down to the Red Sea. As a result, most rooms and facilities afford superb sea views. In addition, buildings are in low-rise clusters and carefully positioned surrounding landscaped gardens and pools. There’s even a funicular railway to take you from the main lobby area down to the beach.

There are just 136 guest rooms and 27 suites. The entry-level rooms are the Superior, Deluxe Partial Sea View, and Premier Sea View Rooms. These are all the same design and size at an ample 60sqm, yet each with a slightly better view. Superior Rooms have garden views and a private terrace. Deluxe Rooms also have a private terrace but with partial sea views. Premier Sea View Rooms are on the upper level of a cluster, with a private balcony and superb sea views. The style of the rooms is sophisticated. Expect marble floors, crisp luxury linens and indulgent bathrooms.

Up from that, opt for a One Bedroom Suite which has a separate sitting area and a massive 120sqm of space. These rooms also come with the addition of a plunge pool. For families, they have a series of Two Bedroom Family Suites. These rooms are located at the very top of the resort, close to the family pool. These either come with views of the pool, sea or village views.

There are six superb restaurants, and three lounges at the Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh. Cuisine from all around the world is provided. The main restaurant, Arabesque, offers international fare and where you take breakfast. Reef Grill is popular for those who enjoy fresh seafood and is located close to the beachfront. Il Frantoio serves Italian fare in an intimate courtyard setting. Sails Asian Food Lounge has a superb clifftop location with superb views and serves a selection of small-plate Asian dishes. Gezira Pool Bar and Restaurant is popular with families staying in the Two Bedroom Suites and serves excellent pizzas and sandwiches. It even has a swim-up bar. Waha Pool Bar & Restaurant provides sophisticated poolside dining and excellent ice cream!

Above Il Frantoio is the Observatory Lounge, perfect for a pre-dinner drink with superb sea views. The Nafoura Lounge is a traditional shisha lounge, where belly-dancers come to entertain the guests each night. Finally, the citadel lounge is an indoor-outdoor lounge serving afternoon snack and smoothies in the day before guests arrive for sunset cocktails overlooking the Red Sea, entertained by a live band.

The Four Seasons Sharm el-Sheikh has four swimming pools, including a children’s pool. There is a superb spa, dive centre, fitness centre, tennis courts and Kid’s Club. There is a small beach down below the hotel, although we found it better to be beside the pool for the day.
