The Detail
You know what you are getting with a Four Seasons hotel, and at the First Residence, you will not be disappointed. The service levels are superb, and the furnishing is lavish and grand. So much so, you might think you are entering a Venetian palace. The Four Seasons First Residence is located in a 20-storey tower and has 269 guest rooms, including 43 suites.
The rooms look out over the Nile, pool and, at a distance, the Pyramids. Rooms are some of the largest in the city, and as you move up the scale, you get better views and more space. The interiors are rich and lavish and draw influences from elegant French style. The marble-clad bathrooms feature bathtubs, as well as walk-in showers. All the mod-cons are there, including Nespresso machines, large flat-screen TVs, entertainment centre and well-stocked minibars.
There is a multitude of lounges and restaurants. The main restaurant, La Gourmandise is a French brasserie. Nairu offers excellent Asian cuisine. Strada serves up superb Italian fare and Aura is a Lebanese speciality restaurant. Also on offer is Xodo for Brazilian food, Greek at Zoie and Burger and Chips for casual dining. There is a tea lounge and two bars.
There are two swimming pools, and two gyms (one female only). The wellness centre features Swedish saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools and an indulgent spa.
