The sleepy village of Orchha is well worth stopping off at if you are passing through the area. The Jehangir Fort is impressive with superb views from the top. The stories behind it tell a great deal of the Mughal era. Raj Mahal contains some wonderfully preserved murals and you will also visit the Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Sundar Mahal and Dinman Hardaul’s Palace.
